Access to obstetric care is an important determinant of maternal and infant health, and hospital-based obstetric care has been declining in the United States (US). The goal of this project was to build a public health database to provide information about access to and changes in hospital-based obstetric care across the US. This data resource is a county-level dataset containing the county FIPS code, state, and an indicator of whether each US county had hospital-based obstetrics care in each year, 2010-2022. It is available for download as an XLS file.
