The purpose of this guide is to provide examples of statewide and rural-focused initiatives that support aging in place for older adults. A complementary policy brief, Statewide Age-Friendly Initiatives: An Environmental Scan, identified 33 age-friendly initiatives across 22 states, six of which included an explicit rural focus. This guide provides an overview of those initiatives.
